Women Helping Women

Site Description

Women Helping Women is an organization that supports survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking in the Greater Cincinnati Area. The direct service team provides emotional support and direct survivors to different resources through the 24hr hotline and text/chat service. The team also accompanies survivors to court hearings, assists survivors in filing for protective orders, and responds to hospital calls to support survivors in emergency rooms. The Domestic Violence Enhanced Response Team (DVERT) responds to domestic violence calls and assists police officers in supporting victims and getting them to a safe place, and the prevention team has multiple programs where they educate students and different businesses about interpersonal violence and being good bystanders.


Job Description

Responsibilities include:

  • Respond to survivor communication on the 24hr hotline and text/chat services
  • Respond to hospital calls
  • Assist the Prevention team in creating/improving interpersonal violence trainings
  • Volunteering at organizational events
