Former Site: Health Resource Center

Site Description

The Health Resource Center (HRC) is a nurse-managed clinic that provides mental health care to a vast demographic of the underserved populations in Cincinnati, including the indigent and the homeless. Simply put, HRC serves people that have slipped through the cracks of health service. A group of nurses, therapists, doctors, and students, from multiple disciplines, constitute the HRC staff. The center provides mental health services such as diagnostic assessments, pharmacotherapy, counseling and psychotherapy, and psychiatric consultation. The clinic receives funding from county and state mental health boards, along with private funding. The UHP intern aids with general administrative tasks and has the opportunity to observe therapy.
